The name sounds scary: Black Reaper. But don’t worry, it’s a Low Rider ST with a performance look. The new look is good for it, because you can see at a glance what its engine can do.

Dressed in black

As befits a Reaper, it wears a black livery. We immediately removed the bronze colour from the cast rims.

The wheels are fitted with the proper suspension for a performance bike, an inverted fork, but now we can make it stop even better: Brembo monobloc callipers take care of that. Radially bolted and positioned on our adapters, they bite into our large wave brake discs on spoke carriers, which we now offer in a variety of designs. In terms of colour, we have chosen red, the only other colour you will find in some shades on the Black Reaper.

The position of the rear brake caliper is also bright red and cannot be overlooked. We mounted it with a bracket under the swingarm. The Black Reaper is now safely positioned as prominently as we have staged the brakes, and we can now turn our attention to the other details.

Our most secret sensation

As soon as you put your boots on the footpegs, you realise there aren’t any. With all due respect, we think this is our secret sensation. We have installed our new mini footboards. These are footboards you’ll be grateful for after a 500 kilometre ride.

Sure, the Black Reaper is labelled ‘Performance’, but with the new comfort, the Black Reaper is worlds away from a Low Rider in the range. Finally, you can move your legs and get your blood pumping on long rides. This wasn’t possible with the basic footrests, which kept you in the same position for hours. We think the footrests are a small but fine detail, with the rider in mind – and the fact that the footrests can also be mounted in a forward position with their swivel mount.

After a day on the Black Reaper, you might realise there’s one thing you haven’t seen. It’s the turn signals. At the front, our stripes are designed to be mounted on the fairing and are located under the distinctive ST fairing. At the rear, we have hidden them on the edge of our inside license plate. Multifunctional, of course, for both tail and brake light.

Don´t fear the Reaper

Blue Öyster Cult once sang about the grim reaper, the reaper who brings us death, but whom we should not fear. The song was melodic, a gentle earworm. To get rid of that catchy tune, you can activate the Jekill and Hyde Shorty Streetfighter silencers at the touch of a button. They can sound a little more aggressive, but always perfectly legal. Want more? We always have two Low Riders ready for a test ride. Don’t be afraid of the Reaper. The only risk is that you want it, and you want it in a version we have customised.
