Fundraiser brings more than 51,000, - Euros for the good cause and a new Harley fan on the Road!

The main prize, a brand new converted Sportster 72 worth € 17,000, went to a woman from Lower Saxony! Unfortunately, the winner was not personally present at the draw by Fusball World Champion Olaf Thon at the Kick Off Festival. She was immediately informed by phone that she had hit the jackpot. The lady could hardly believe it and the tears of joy were even felt through the phone, according to our employee.

She was really happy about the main prize and now she has to finish her motorcycle license as fast as possible. With the lavishly refined Thunderbike Harley you could now be seen and not ride with your husband as a passenger.

The focus of the campaign was on the good cause: “More than 7,000 participants contributed their share to the donations total of over 51,000, – €. Those who donated supported the work of the DRK Children’s Hospital Siegen for the benefit of the children. Thus, not only the 28 winners of the small and large prizes can start the 2014 motorcycle season with a smile. The best part: after the great success, many of the sponsors agreed to support the second round of www.spendenaktion-motorrad.de 2014/2015. An attractive grand prize in the form of another Harley-Davidson has already been provided – we at Thunderbike have committed ourselves as Customizer again the good cause.

It’s not just children’s eyes that shine

The DRK Children’s Hospital Siegen launched a big motorcycle fundraiser. Grand Prize: a Harley-Davidson Sportster 72 converted by Thunderbike.

If a child in southern Westphalia or in the Westerwald seriously ill, bring it to his parents in the children’s hospital Siegen. So that the doctors, nurses and carers in the future can best take care of the well-being of the children, Arnd Dickel, spokesman of the clinic, called the “Spendenaktion Motorrad” to the benefit of the DRK Children’s Hospital Siegen, in which not only the small patients but also all two-wheeler friends get their money’s worth.

Of course, the focus was on the good cause: those who donate are involved, support the work of the clinic for the benefit of the children and, with a bit of luck, can win one of numerous prizes made available by the German motorcycle industry. Among all participants, the main prize was a Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two, which was donated by the Harley-Davidson Germany GmbH and refined by us with plenty of custom accessories such as air filter, grip set, side license plate and swing saddle.

Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde donated a sonorous custom exhaust system and Ingo Kruse refined the paint job. But the other prizes are also impressive:

Dunlop, one of the leading tire manufacturers, donated a set of youngtimer tires. Ilmberger Carbonparts offered a voucher for a carbon fender. Jon Doe donated a hoodie, a jacket and five tunnels.
Louis provided a goods voucher worth 1.000, – Euro. Oil and maintenance professional Motorex contributed twelve moto-cleaning sets. Clothing professional Rokker provided trousers, a T-shirt and a jacket. And rukka’s motorcycle apparel specialists put three pairs of quality motorcycle gloves on it.

Best of all, all those who participated did not only have a good chance of winning one of the top prizes, but also the certainty of doing good, because every penny taken through the fundraiser came to the small and larger patients of the DRK Children’s Hospital Siegen benefit.
