Our latest release in the GP series
When we talk about a facelift, you can expect more than meets the eye. In this case, ‘more’ means: The Grand Prix! You may have seen our GP Suzuka a few times already. Six months ago at the Custombike Show in Bad Salzuflen and, more recently, in our catalogue — always on the pages featuring components from our GP series.
It's a total work of art. Not a facelift
But we haven’t actually unveiled the new 117 Breakout yet. At the Custombike Show, we modestly referred to it as a facelift. However, when we build the GP, it’s definitely more than just a facelift. It’s elaborate, exclusive and avant-garde. Some would even call it a design study. Everything you see on the GP Suzuka, however, is available in our series production.
Admittedly, a new headlamp cap can really give a bike a new face. This time, we call ours he Windshield Kit, and it really does give the bike a facelift. However, on its own, it would be nothing more than false eyelashes. Our facelift is a complete work of art, featuring our extra-wide triple tree with weight-saving cut-outs and attached stub handlebars — both GP Performance products.

More InformationGrand Prix: Nothing goes over
And when we say GP, we mean it: nothing beats the Grand Prix! Our standpipes are DLC-coated, not just black chrome-plated. These are fitted with two additional DLC-coated windows in our GP dip tubes. These form the perfect framework for our 23-inch Grand Prix wheel, which is milled from a solid piece of material. Mounts for the mighty 340-millimetre Streetmaster brake discs are integrated into the wheel. Radially bolted Brembo callipers sit atop them. The GRP GP front fender is also part of this concept.
The facelift began with our windshield kit – the extra-wide GP triple clamp provides the perfect visual complement
The GP clip-on handlebars have a number of features, including satin grips, backlit Rebuffini switches and a reservoir on the left for the clutch hydraulics
The single-sided swingarm provides an unobstructed view of the GP wheel. The GP wheel provides an unobstructed view of the pulley and perimeter brake
The GP clip-on handlebars feature Phantom grips with a non-slip, satin finish. Hidden underneath are our Stripe turn signals, while our Motogadget rear-view mirrors are visible above them. Completing the look are our drilled toppers in a bicolour finish and a backlit Rebuffini keypad.
The forward-mounted forward controls kit also comes from our Phantom range and has a matching satin finish. Finally, take a look at the handlebars, which have the housing for our converted clutch hydraulics on the left.

Tank and rear end designed as new
You may already be familiar with our GP aluminium tank. However, we are surprised that it looks like a new design on every GP bike. The rear is a complete ensemble, of course. It has a 21-inch GP wheel, of course. Our single-sided swingarm kit showcases it to its best advantage, including a GP pulley and a huge perimeter brake disk.
The single-sided swingarm kit comes with a specially designed pulley, perimeter brake and side licence plate holder
The GP-Alutank impresses with its ever-changing individuality. The Kruse paint design highlights its unique character
The GP-style rear fender, which has hidden rear light LEDs, is welded on, as is the front spoiler. The GP seat pan, located in front of the fender, is designed to accommodate the 260-size rear tyre.
The side mount licence plate bracket ensures that nothing disturbs the coherence of the design. The Slamtail suspension kit hydraulically lowers the rear at the touch of a button, just like the Airride.
Various covers from the Drilled series, as well as the Oval Grand Prix airbox cover, complete the look. All of this is on an engine whose housing we have finished in wrinkle black. Kruse Design once again provided the final finish with sporty lines.
Play in the GP League
We borrowed the ‘S’ in the name from the legendary Suzuka circuit in Japan. We couldn’t resist fitting our GP exhaust system for the show either. This is only permitted in sports mode. However, this is the only part that would need converting for road approval. We can of course do this on request without making any major style changes. All the other parts are not only available to buy, they are also street legal, as befits responsible customisers. Even if they play in the GP league.
