The power cruiser for the roads of Italy

We have the first bike ready for the summer. Our latest breakout interpretation bears the name “Shadow Rider”

The FXBR is heading south to sunny Italy. As our customer there is starting the season early, we finished the breakout just in time.

Wheels in the right format

With its elongated line, the Breakout can be ridden as a power cruiser. Visually, we have staged this accordingly.

The format of the wheels ex works fits in quite well with our aesthetic sensibilities: 21 inches at the front, 18 inches at the rear. That’s the big foot that we also like to ride on. But we wouldn’t be Thunderbike if we didn’t have more beautiful wheels for this size on our shelves.

We used our Vegas Cut wheels, this time powder-coated in high-gloss black with shiny metallic accents in the bolting. Their five parallel spokes find their counterpart in the five-way split Vegas brake disc carriers, with a wave brake disc at the front with a diameter of a whopping 340 millimetres. We have our brake calliper adapters for this larger diameter, on which a radially bolted brake calliper now sits. And the result is even more power!

The pulley is also part of our Vegas collection and matches the spoke guide of the Vegas brake disk and Vegas wheel

Exclusive coatings

Our slim metal fender nestles against the front wheel. We have also given the fork tubes a high-gloss black finish with an exclusive DLC coating. The fork is of course lowered. Our headlamp cap above the headlamp gives the front end an evil look, while the Crossfire bug spoiler rounds off the sporty, aggressive look.

The original handlebar grips have been replaced by our Base Satin design, and the Stripe indicators underneath are well concealed. The grips are finished off with our Funride toppers for a change.

The footrests and pegs also have satin surfaces and are mounted on footrest supports from our pre-installation kit. We have also continued the all-black look on the engine, powder-coating the engine tank and clutch covers black and adding the Willi G. skull.

The rear section

The saddle was covered by Spirit Leather, with a honeycomb structure on the seat and crocodile leather on the sides. The small vignette with Elvish lettering from the Tolkien trilogy refers to the owner’s literary preferences. The seat is finished off with our steel rear fender, in which the multifunctional rear lights are integrated.

Although you will find an 18-inch wheel under the fender, we have covered it with a slightly wider 260 tire. This is in our swingarm conversion with conversion to pulley brakes, and for good reason: moving the brake disk to the left-hand side between the pulley and wheel not only hides the disk well, it also provides a clear view of the Vegas wheel on the right-hand side. The view of the left side does not suffer as a result. We have a matching Vegas pulley for this. And our side license plate holder with inside license plate is now installed above it.

A Thunderbike is a work of art

Please note small details such as our in-house belt guard, which is not only shorter and sportier, but also embellished with milling. The Italians are aesthetes, they enjoy such details.
