For tearing off miles
It’s not that we choose our customers. But we are happy when our bikes reach the right people. And it’s better when we don’t just wrench for money, but for real bikers. The lady knew what she wanted, and her choice of bike and the desired new layout are evidence of her intention to put in the miles, i.e. to really ride.
The Heritage’s windshield and case remain in place. This means that the Shiny Star is still suitable for touring
The Heritage Classic FLHCS is first and foremost a classic motorcycle. But with its removable windshield and panniers, it is also practical and ideal for covering miles. Its 16-inch wheels make it nimble, its 114cc engine has plenty of power for the long haul, and let’s not forget the wide, comfortable saddle.
But everything can always be better. Especially more modern. Classic is fine, but it’s always a little dusty, and the Heritage, now christened “Shiny Star,” should shine.
It’s not just the paint that makes it shine. Our lowrider wheels replace the standard spoke wheels. This moves the Shiny Star decades forward. We compensated for the larger diameter of the 18-inch rims with a simple trick: the new low-profile tires have a flatter relationship to the rim width. As a result, the outside diameter of the wheels barely changes, and the maneuverability of the chassis is maintained.
The wheels are clad with the original fenders from other models, Slim on the front and Street Bob on the rear. This accentuates the shiny lowrider spokes. Our Vegas brake discs really shine and then they brake even better.
A saddle to sink in
Yes, what is good can stay good. We mean the gorgeous saddle that begs to sink into. That’s why it’s not original. We had it redesigned by Spirit Leather. The sides, however, are similar to the original and continue the design of the panniers to the front. The fender stays alone, the rack on top is waiting for the big ride. The lady on the bike rides alone, but she is not lonely. We also built a bike for her husband, more about that in this movie soon.
Until then, we refer you to the Kess-Tech silencers with electronically controlled sound management. Yes, even a lady can make a racket, but it’s totally legal.
It only becomes discreet with our interior license plate and the unobtrusive striped multifunction indicators mounted on the side. Kellermann’s Atto turn signals also disappear under the front fairings.
Probrake levers and footrests have been added on request. Whether footrests are really more comfortable on long trips is debatable. In any case, they lack the secure hold that real footrests offer. The biker really knows what she wants.
Reunion on the road
When men build a motorcycle for women, it’s always one of those things. The ladies are touched by the token of love from a man who works for them, but the bike stays in the garage. Eventually it is put up for sale. But who would buy a pink motorcycle? The Shiny Star is not pink. It’s silver. And it won’t be gathering dust in the garage, you’ll see it on the road!
