Our sleek GP rear fender meets the massive original Breakout tank – a combination we haven’t seen before.
Large wheel sizes, a high-contrast paint job from the front fender to the rear, the hydraulic suspension, and numerous striking details give the Breakout a sporty yet powerful look.
Just the right mix of dynamic style and a masculine custom look.
What makes this Breakout conversion special is the rather rare combination of the massive original tank and our GP rear fender.
Normally, when fitting the GP rear fender, we also use the matching GP aluminum tank to consistently carry through the sporty lines.
On this bike, the original, beefy tank was deliberately retained. It is precisely this mix of a massive front and a sleek rear that gives the machine its special character – masculine, powerful, yet with a sporty silhouette.
The handlebars and risers remained original but were powder-coated in black to match the overall look. The whole look is complemented by our satin-finish grips, which feel comfortable in the hand and match the bike’s contrast-cut finish. The Smooth-design end caps provide a subtle and clean finish to the handlebars.

Upgrading the front wheel from 21 to 23 inches with the New Digger design instantly creates an even more imposing look. The 20 delicate spokes make the wheel surprisingly light despite its size and give it a very dynamic appearance, especially while riding – almost as if the rim had significantly fewer spokes.
A real highlight is the elaborate Contrast Cut finish. The completely flat-milled outer sides of the spokes extend all the way down to the wheel hub, while milled details on the inner sides and in the center of the rim add extra depth. Together with the striking bolt pattern, this creates a technical yet high-quality look that immediately highlights the intricate milling work.
Of course, the rim, like our entire wheel range, is TÜV-certified.
The front is rounded off by our front fender, which sits flush with the wheel and perfectly underscores the clean lines.
Thanks to the single-sided swingarm conversion, the matching Perimeter brake disc is also used on the rear 21-inch rim. Unlike a traditional brake system, the brake disc is mounted on the outside of the rim and is actuated by an in-caliper brake. This not only creates a striking visual effect but also highlights the technical nature of the conversion.
Combined with the spoke-design pulley, this creates a clean yet striking look that perfectly complements the bike’s lines. The rear is completed by our side-mounted license plate holder, including an Inside license plate.
Thanks to the single-side swing arm and the compact Jekyll & Hyde system – offering an unobstructed view on one side..
Lots of black, lots of contrast
The fork was also given a matching finish as part of this conversion. While the triple clamps and fork legs come standard in black, we had the fork tubes – including the fork end caps – additionally coated with DLC.
The DLC coating (“Diamond-Like Carbon”) not only provides a sophisticated, deep black finish but also offers a particularly hard and wear-resistant surface.
Especially when combined with the black components, this creates a high-quality and very clean look at the front. Our axle covers are also used to ensure a clean finish.
In addition, our headlamp cap ensures a significantly more cohesive front view. It closes the gap between the headlight and the upper triple clamp, giving the bike an even more compact and sporty silhouette. This is complemented by our lowering kit, which lowers the front by approximately 10 to 40 mm depending on the setting, creating a lower, more aggressive look.

The paint design by Ingo Kruse creates the most striking contrast on the bike.
Various shades of black, gray, and silver add depth and give the design a constantly changing character depending on the angle of the light.
The orange scallops, which have their origins in the classic hot rod scene, provide a special accent.
They bring movement and dynamism to the overall look and run consistently across the entire bike, from the front fender over the front spoiler and fuel tank all the way to the rear fender.
Blacked Out Down to the Last Detail
To achieve an even more stocky and compact look, the engine was completely disassembled and all components were powder-coated black. This gives the entire powertrain a much cleaner appearance and blends perfectly into the bike’s overall dark aesthetic.
Another key highlight of this build is our CNC-machined air filter. Thanks to its flat design, it sits particularly close to the engine, reinforcing the Breakout’s compact lines. The drilled design with a contrast cut finish perfectly complements the look of the other Thunderbike components and creates a high-quality, technical aesthetic. On the opposite side, our ignition coil mount also brings the ignition coil closer to the engine, resulting in a cleaner appearance.
Additional details, such as the tank cover between the tank and seat, harmoniously round out the build and ensure a clean overall look down to the last detail.
