Never stop riding!
The Picturebooks have been cultivating a top relationship with Harley-Davidson and Thunderbike for quite some time now: two years ago, we created the unique “The Picturebooks Bikes” in our forge – two Softails that were rebuilt in the 70s Chopper Style. Now it’s time to get something new going!
Together with Harley-Davidson, The Picturebooks had the idea to equip the guys with new Touring models so that they could manage their long touring trips. The choice fell on a Street Glide Special (“Horse of Fire”) and a Road King Special (“Howling Wolf”), which are equipped with all kinds of Thunderbike features. The right sound is a must for musicians – it comes from the manufactory of the band’s newest partner – Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde exhausts. See the full article from Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde here.
The Picturebooks headline this year’s two biggest Harley-Davidson events: The European HOG Rally Cascais in Portugal and the European Bike Week Faaker See in Austria. Of course the bikes are the right tour partners for the two.
First of all we accompanied the boys with the camera to record the development of the two bikes. In this video you can see the beginning of the cooperation, in which the two tourers are equipped with Dr. Jekill and Mr. Hyde equipment and the first plans are forged with Andreas Bergerforth and team for the further conversions.

Step 2 - Getting ready for show
Of course, the bikes are only really personalized and ready to start when the guys themselves have put on their hands. First we equipped the “Howling Wolf” Bike – a Harley-Davidson Road King Special from Fynn with a Boom Box system, so that he gets the full sound from the front on the way to his gigs. The front also got an update from us with a new Ape Hanger. The bike also breathes with our oval Air Cleaner Kit. Of course we wouldn’t be us if we also had a surprise of the extra class for the guys: For the suitcases, air filter and clutch covers we designed the covers in the style of the guys, which then in the forge have been attached.
The complete process was not only accompanied by our team: For a story about The Picturebooks we had a visit from Paul and Benedict from the Harley-Davidson International Team.
Step 3 - Taking the bikes for a ride
With us it is almost a tradition to go on a small tour together with the finished bikes. Andreas grabbed the two guys and led them with their brand new bikes through Hamminkeln.
For the guys from The Picturebooks it’s now the European tour. Among others they can be found at the last Chopper Bash. After that the band will go on to Sweden.
