Custombike Show Bad Salzuflen 2024
A successful end to the year and the perfect start to getting creative in the garage.
The Custombike Show in Bad Salzuflen was once again a complete success in 2024. With an impressive number of visitors and an increasingly younger audience, the three-day show offered plenty of highlights for custombike enthusiasts.
Once again this year, we went all out to surprise you with highlights at the Custombike trade fair. Among them was a new Fat Boy with Anniversary wheels, which we gave a radiant new finish. We also presented our latest Grand Prix with a fresh facelift, which is even sportier thanks to a new headlamp cap and new triple clamps. Another highlight was the CVO Helix Road Glide with a 23-inch spoke front wheel and hydraulic conversion.
In addition to our freshly printed magazine full of the year’s highlights, there was cool new Thunderbike fashion and delicious coffee from the Roadhouse team. We were particularly pleased to exchange ideas with fellow dealers and, of course, with you – our community that shares our passion for motorcycles!

European Custombike Championship
The European Custombike Championship 2024 was once again the highlight of the Custombike trade fair in Bad Salzuflen. Over 200 spectacular bikes from a wide range of categories – from choppers, bobbers and cafe racers to highneckers and daily runners – competed for the coveted titles. Whether by professionals from renowned workshops or passionate mechanics from garages, pure creativity met technical skill.
It’s great to see how much passion the participants put into their bikes. The atmosphere is simply unique: enthusiastic visitors, an expert jury that scrutinizes every detail and a variety of custom bikes that is second to none.

BIKER BUILD OFF
As every year, the Biker Build-Off was one of the most exciting highlights of the Custombike trade fair in Bad Salzuflen. Two customizer teams compete against each other to build a unique custom bike in front of the public in just three days. The brand doesn’t matter – what counts is creativity, looks and functionality: in the end, the bike has to take off!
Florian Pfante from USM Motorcycles and his team presented an Indian with an Iron Man look that impressed with its details and eye-catching color scheme.
Kornel Krasicki from VHard Motorworks started with an “old school” Harley, which paid homage to classic customizing with its matt black finish and golden details.
The Indian came out on top by just 48 votes – a well-deserved victory for Florian Pfante and his team, and the third triumph in a row for Indian Motorcycles! We have particularly fond memories of the Build Off in 2010, when we won the race with our Build a Billy, a Harley-Davidson Flathead.

Biker Build-Off 2008 – Our victory with the “Build a Billy”
The Custombike Show 2008 was a highlight for us. At the Biker Build-Off, one of the most exciting competitions in the scene, we built our flathead chopper “Build a Billy” live on site in just three days.
The rockabilly-style flathead with open belt, DKW fork and a cool paint job from Kruse Design not only impressed us, but also the jury. With a lot of passion and team spirit, we built an old-school chopper that ultimately took first place.

A breath of fresh air with creative mopeds
New highlight: German Ring Ding Ding Build-Off
The Moped Build-Off celebrated its premiere on the occasion of Schwalbe’s 60th anniversary. In just two days, impressive conversions were created before the eyes of the visitors. The attention to detail and crazy designs thrilled the audience, who ultimately voted for the winner.
A breath of fresh air with creative mopeds
The colorful exhibition of mopeds was a real highlight! With cool colors, cheeky ideas and impressive creativity, the lovingly designed two-wheelers provided a breath of fresh air.
ACTION & SHOWPROGRAM
In addition to the impressive custom bikes, the diverse supporting program in Bad Salzuflen was full of action and entertainment. Motorcycle fans were able to get advice from experts on how to plan the perfect dream trip on two wheels, while creative minds had the opportunity to try their hand at the fascinating art of airbrushing. Live body painting and tattoos were also on offer, where impressive works of art were created on the skin before visitors’ very eyes.
Various musicians provided the right atmosphere with good rock music. Another highlight was the spectacular steep wall show: brave riders impressed with daring maneuvers and captivated the audience.
Of course, shopping fans didn’t miss out either. With a wide selection of fashion, jewelry and motorcycle clothing as well as a large selection of snacks and drinks, there was something for everyone.
We are already looking forward to the 2025 Custombike trade fair – we can look forward to another unforgettable experience next year!
