CUSTOMBIKE Show Bad Salzuflen 2025

The Custom Bike Show in Bad Salzuflen is over—and what a fantastic weekend it was!

Our trade fair highlights – The Thunderbike line-up for 2025

The Custombike Show in Bad Salzuflen is over—and what a great weekend it was!

Cool exhibitors, great people, packed halls, and a bike show with some really strong winners. We had lots of exciting conversations, met new faces, caught up with old friends, and took home some inspiration.

We had 14 brand-new custombikes at our booth – each one a unique piece from our workshop. We also had new fashion items, fresh Thunderbike merch, our new magazine, the 2026 calendar, and, of course, the highly coveted fan pack.

It was a trade show full of energy, passion, and custom spirit.

La Purpura – a fully chrome-plated Chicano in purple style

La Purpura – Our shiny chrome Chicano style

With La Purpura, we are presenting a Chicano unlike any we have built before – deliberately designed as a shiny contrast to our dark conversions. Almost every part is chrome-plated or left in its original finish for a consistently classic look.

One highlight is the new, elongated saddlebags with external hinges, which represent a real upgrade both visually and technically. The shape is based on early Shovelhead and Panhead designs, but has been lengthened and modernized to create harmonious lines and perfect symmetry.

For the first time, we have retained the original LED auxiliary headlights, whose chrome reflectors fit perfectly into the overall picture.

The elaborate paintwork by Chiko’s Pinstriping, chrome brake systems, and the embossed seat by Spirit Leather give the bike its unmistakable character.

La Purpura was born out of a desire to make a real chrome statement once again—an extraordinary custom bike waiting to find its new owner.

Tank & Rear – The New GP Evolution

GP-Cota – Breakout on a whole new level

The GP-Cota is a breakout that is barely recognizable. Based on our GP line, a new upgrade has been created with a completely redesigned front end, new headlamp cap, and striking triple LED headlights.

For the first time, additional design elements were used – on the tank, at the rear, and in GT3 blue to match the customer’s vehicle. The rear was completely milled for the first time and mounted on a custom-made substructure, including integrated turn signals and concealed screw connections.

Color accents, laser-engraved details, matching wheels, and precise paintwork by Kruse Design create a clear, technical overall look.

GP-Cota – a race track-inspired custom bike, named after the “Circuit of The Americas” and built to perfectly combine performance and design.

Calavera – The Breakout Reborn

This project focuses on extreme customization—both technically and visually. Particularly striking is the radical front end with integrated handlebar solution without classic risers, combined with a Radical 2 front end and air suspension that raises and lowers the bike at the touch of a button and ensures an extremely clean look.

The built-in monoblock anniversary wheels in stripe cut add delicate accents and give the bike an elegant dynamism. The paintwork is a true work of art: full of depth, layers, and artistic details, implemented according to the customer’s clear vision and with a high level of craftsmanship.

Another highlight is the downside exhaust system, installed for the first time – a collaboration between Jekill & Hyde and BT-Choppers. The manifolds and end pipes form an exclusive combination with the serial number 001 and perfectly complement the look with their raw, technical character.

Velaris – The first Softail with 40th Anniversary Wheels

The Velaris is a real highlight within our custom line. For the first time, we have implemented our new 40th Anniversary wheels on a Fat Boy – 23 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear. The filigree monoblock design with a fine contrast cut looks surprisingly elegant and is perfectly showcased by our single-sided swing arm. The fine paint lines echo the wheel design and underline the high-quality character of the Velaris.

As usual, the Atlas handlebars ensure a clean, complete front look. The combination of slim-looking monoblock wheels and the solid character of the Fat Boy creates an exciting contrast that gives the bike its special look. The setup is complemented by short footrests, contrast cut details, a Jackel & Heide exhaust system, a hook spoiler, and a monoblock brake system with 340 mm discs.

The seat also contributes to the bike’s elegant appearance – discreetly crafted, high-quality embossed, and finished with a black logo. The Velaris was built especially for the trade fair and is the first bike available with the new 40th anniversary wheels. Anyone looking for a special Fat Boy will find an exclusive opportunity here.

The Trooper is a GP-style breakout that stands out above all for one first: our new Pro Performance swingarm for wide Softail frames is being used for the first time. On this bike, it’s like a precision landing—the rear end gains massive presence, stands out powerfully, and gives the motorcycle a distinctly more masculine, forward-thrusting stance. The difference is immediately apparent when compared directly to the tubular swingarm.

Unlike other GP conversions, we have retained the original wheel dimensions of the Breakout: 18 inches at the rear, 21 inches at the front – but fitted as sporty Vegas Cut wheels in glossy black. Added to this are GP triple clamps, headlamp cap, tank, rear section and hook spoiler, which consistently continue the GP design.

The paintwork is a subtle eye-catcher – inspired by the Iron Maiden theme. It is perfectly executed: not too obtrusive, but clear in its statement. Details such as the painted clutch cover in Iron Maiden design and the laser-engraved fuel cap pick up on the theme and run through the entire bike as subtle accents.

40th Anniversary Bike

The 40 Years Bike is more than just a motorcycle—it’s a journey through time in metal, paint, and craftsmanship. This bike embodies four decades of custom history, realized in a blend of old designs and new developments. The basic geometry is reminiscent of our first Harley with its own frame from 2005 – the Gothic. The exhaust concept comes from the Open Mind from 2008, while the ribbed covers and primary drive come from the Unbreakable from 2012. The bike thus combines DNA from different eras and brings them together in a new form.

The goal was clear: to showcase tradition while also highlighting further development. To achieve this, our Radical 2 fork was redesigned and given a more classic wishbone look, which is also reflected in the frame. Exclusive brake systems, engravings, logos, and milled details combine technology and craftsmanship at a premium level.
