- Flanders Chopper Bash 2026
Between long forks and long nights
There are events where you drive there, take a lap, and are on your way home again after two hours. And then there’s the Flanders Chopper Bash.
As soon as you arrive on the grounds, you remember why this weekend is a must-attend for so many people. Choppers everywhere, laid-back people everywhere, and there’s something to discover around every corner. Amid tents, campfires, cold drinks, and plenty of motorcycle talk, the whole thing feels more like a huge gathering of friends than a traditional event.
This isn’t about perfection or who has the most expensive custom bike in their garage. Here, everyone builds their bike exactly the way they want it. That’s exactly what makes it so appealing.
The Bike Show? Another real highlight.
Anyone who thought they’d seen it all was quickly proven wrong. Long forks, crazy frames, patina, candy paint, old Shovels, Panheads, and tons of custom builds. You might walk past some bikes three times and still keep discovering new details. That’s exactly what makes this show so special. There’s no cookie-cutter stuff here, and no copies. Every builder brings their own style to the table, and that’s exactly why you keep stopping to take a closer look.
The Best of Show was the perfect example of this. A chopper with character, rough edges, and a bit of an edge. Not a polished-to-a-gloss show bike, but a machine that tells stories
and where you can immediately tell how much heart and soul and hard work went into it. Absolutely well-deserved. Of course, the conversation wasn’t just about motorcycles the whole time.
At the Kickstart Competition, hosted by Old & Proud Spain, the motto was: kick, kick, and kick some more. Whoever could start their bike the most times within the allotted time came out on top. It sounds simple, but it takes a lot of strength – and, of course, it once again drew plenty of laughter and applause.
The best things happen between bikes.
Sure, you come for the motorcycles. But you stay for the people.
Somewhere, a group is sitting in front of a tent, philosophizing about their next customization project. A few meters away, a chopper rolls leisurely across the grounds. Next to it, people are talking shop, laughing, or simply watching the action unfold with a cold drink in hand.
That’s exactly why people love weekends like this.
And when the sun slowly sets, that’s when the Chopper Bash really gets going.
The bikes come to a stop, the music gets louder, the festival tent fills up, and suddenly no one’s looking at the clock anymore. People are partying, dancing, laughing, and talking about motorcycles – probably well into the night.
At some point, you realize that your memory cards are full to the brim, your boots are caked in dust, and your camera’s battery is just as drained as your own. The camera is full, your legs are tired, and chances are everyone has found at least one new favorite bike.
So… same time, same place? We’d be there.
