- Small Holland round 2.0
The weather here doesn't allow us to make any big plans...
So we did a little tour towards Holland and it was fantastic.
We made a plan with 15 Thunderbikern and friends. We just wanted to ride again, nothing wild, just feel the asphalt under our asses and the wind in our faces. And both things worked out. The last rain shower left us right on time at 2 p.m. We tightenend two bolts, filled up the tank an started off.
We started in Hamminkeln, drove via Haffen and made our first stop for fuel in Millingen am Rhein. Oh yes, the landscape on the Lower Rhine is simply beautiful. One dyke after another, long curves and the wonderful smell of nature.
No matter how mixed the summer is, one day is enough to recharge your batteries.
We continue through Nijmegen towards the ferry
This time Andreas, roadcaptain and boss, took us over another beautiful dyke. We drove past galloping horses that felt just as wild and free as we did on their huge pastures with small lakes. Then we crossed the Waal on a small ferry.
A short break on the ferry, them another 15 minutes of cruising, and we were already at our favorite place for coffee and cake in Tolkamer.
Koffie Verkeerd, Latte Machiatto, Cappochino and een Appletaat alstublieft...
As soon as the order is placed, everything is on the table. With a view of the Rhine, a bit of sun on our face, coffee and cake, it´s a good time. But our iron horses are already pawing around, because they haven´t been out of the stables much this year either. So let´s get the little boys and girls ready. Jacket, helmet and gloves on and off we go.
When we arrive in Hamminkeln, we realize: It went like Clockwork. No breakdowns, nobody lost, no rain showers. That was fun! At the end, of course, we toasted the successful day with a refreshing drink and a delicious burger at the Roadhouse.
We say thank you to everyone and look forward to the next team rideout.
