6h full throttle with 50 cubic inches
Every two years on the first weekend of November, two-wheeled enthusiasts meet at the kart track near Aachen. Up to 35 teams take part in the race with a 660-meter track.
As with other races, there are rules in this race. The moped must not exceed 50 cubic cubic feet and must be driven automatically. During a technical inspection brakes and steering are checked, leather suit and helmet are also mandatory.
The Mofarennen in Vaals was born in Le Mans in France in the 1990s out of a beer mood. German, Dutch and Belgian motorcyclists forged the idea to set up a race themselves. But not with heavy racing machines – with mopeds.
In 2011, the race attracted Andreas, Head of Thunderbike and his team.
