- Meet & Greet with ZZ-Top Frontman Billy Gibbons
Thunderbike On Tour - Colliery Zollverein Essen, Germany
When you think about real biker music, the first ZZ top comes to your mind. The message about a concert by frontman Billy Gibbons just a few kilometers away was very convenient for us to meet the legend of Rock once in person.
Common acquaintances were quickly found, the Billy and Andreas could announce each other and so our next “Thunderbike On-Tour” goes to the Colliery Zollverein in Essen, where on Wednesday the 11th of July, immediately after our Rumble & Thunder, a really small concert started with his All-Star Band Supersonic Blues Machine. Drummer legend Kenny Aronoff and other masters of their craft, who were really close friends with only up to 1000 guests, were among them.
Before the concert, we used the time to talk Billy round about old Harley-Davidson Panheads, Shovels or Knuckles waiting for the next exit. After that, of course, it was the concert.
