- Pan America 1250
Since their launch in February 2021, the Pan America 1250 Special and Pan America 1250 adventure-touring models have taken the ADV world by storm. Rugged, powerful and technically advanced, these multi-purpose motorcycles are uncompromisingly designed to gain rider confidence and ignite the spirit of adventure on and off the road.
In 2022, information on the TFT display on the Pan America 1250 Special and Pan America 1250 models is easier to read. Hill-start assist is now active longer under normal conditions – three to five minutes, instead of the previous ten seconds. There is also a new color option for the Pan America 1250 Special model: Fastback Blue/White Sand.
Since today, you no longer have to decide whether to temporarily swap your Harley for a touring enduro from Spandau, Mattighofen or Kumamoto when you want to get off the beaten track.
The Pan America is the perfect way to get around in style as an all-weather commuter, a modern long-distance traveler, or even a big-city adventurer scraping Alpine passes.
If you’re wondering how well Harley-Davidson and off-road go together, check out our film. Because it’s only logical that at some point there will be another bike from Milwaukee that feels at home beyond the asphalt. In the last 118 years, there have been times when Harley-Davidson has transported people, news and material through rough terrain.
The Pan America comes in two variants and – as usual for Harley-Davidson – you can personalize your machine with many parts and accessories. You can check out the Pan America products from Harley-Davidson here in our onlineshop. And as soon as the first Pan Am arrives in Hamminkeln, we will surely come up with some Thunderbike solutions.
The special version, the Pan America 1250 Special, has some premium features on board to easily keep up with the best bikes in this segment. The ride assistance comes from Bosch, while the chassis was developed with Showa. From the semi-active suspension with Vehicle Load Control to the optional Adaptive Ride Hight, the Pan Am Special doesn’t have to hide from any competitor.
On the contrary, no other manufacturer can offer an automatically lowering chassis (up to 805 mm seat height).
The technical features are cutting edge, the appearance is very unique and the price is a real challenge to the competitors!
Brandnew Engine
With the Revolution Max 1250, Harley-Davidson is opening the next chapter in a century of legendary V-twins.
It is a liquid-cooled engine with around 152 hp, plenty of torque and an extremely wide usable rev range that makes life easy for the rider.
The running culture is quiet enough for travel, vibrations are kept within limits thanks to balancer shafts, and the sound is described as charismatic.
Outstanding Design
You love it or you hate it or you learn to love it. But one thing you can’t say about the Pan Am is that it doesn’t move minds.
In a world where motorcycles are becoming more and more alike, the Pan America offers a rock-solid alternative – and does so in a distinctive Harley-Davidson total package.
Long distances and travel
The Pan America builds on H-D’s touring heritage, enabling high-speed riding with optimal handling even at the limits of luggage and weight capacity.
The Pan America is powerful and intuitive to operate – a motorcycle that remains reliable no matter how hard it is challenged.
Lightweight
Wherever possible, weight was saved and lightweight material was used. The Revolution Max 1250 engine serves as a supporting chassis element, making a conventional frame superfluous.
This significantly reduces the overall weight of the machine and optimizes its handling. This is performance you can really feel – with a low center of gravity and torsionally stiff chassis.
Five riding modes plus a personal mode
Five pre-programmed riding modes are available at the touch of a button (Sport, Road, Rain, Off-Road and Off-Road Plus).
In addition, you can set up your own custom riding mode – with his own personal settings for power delivery, engine braking, cornering-optimized anti-lock braking system (C-ABS) and cornering-optimized traction control (C-TCS).
Alloy wheels and new developed tires
The tires mounted on cast alloy wheels (19″ front and 17″ rear) were developed with a particular focus on the on-road and off-road requirements of Adventure Touring.
For this, Michelin has taken into account all aspects to optimize performance – from the structure of the tires to their contour and tread design.
Fun on the Road
Of course, the Pan Am is also suitable for the famous Alpine tour with your buddies. With its powerful engine, it screws you up the mountains and over the passes.
And if the road should lead you over a passage with gravel, you have a safe vehicle under the butt.
The semi-active suspension is electronically adjustable and there is an optional Adaptive Ride Height, which automatically lowers the machine when you stop and raises it again when you start.
