- Pan America 1250 Special
Premium Game Changer
The Pan America 1250 Special is the top version of our robust all-rounder on two wheels, as if born for discovery tours and adventures. Thanks to its first-class equipment, the 1250 Special need fear no comparison with other top motorcycles in its segment. The list of special features on the Special is long.
In addition to what the Pan America 1250 can do in its basic configuration, the Special comes with a number of features on top, for example such simple yet practical details as a main stand, steering dampers and heated grips, but also such innovative features as a semi-active chassis with Vehicle Load Control, an adaptive headlight and sensor-controlled auxiliary LEDs.
The absolute highlight is the Adaptive Ride Height, which automatically lowers the suspension for stopping and raises it again to the optimal position for driving after starting. No other manufacturer can serve with an automatically lowerable chassis (to up to 805 mm seat height)!
Since today, you no longer have to decide whether to trade in your Harley for a touring enduro from Spandau, Mattighofen or Kumamoto (even if it’s just temporarily) if you want to get off the beaten path.
The Pan America Special is the perfect way to get around in style as an all-weather commuter, a modern long-distance traveler, or even a big-city adventurer scraping Alpine passes.
How well Harley-Davidson and off-road go together can be seen in our film. It’s only logical that there should be another bike from Milwaukee that feels at home beyond the asphalt. In the last 118 years, there have been many times when Harley-Davidson has transported people, news and material through rough terrain.
The Pan America comes in two variants and – as usual for Harley-Davidson – you can personalize your machine with parts and accessories. You can check out the first Pan America products from Harley-Davidson here in our onlineshop. And as soon as the first Pan Am arrives at our shop in Hamminkeln, we will surely come up with some Thunderbike solutions as well.
The Pan America 1250 Special has some premium features on board to easily keep up with the best bikes in this segment. The ride assistance comes from Bosch, and the chassis was developed with Showa.
From the semi-active chassis with Vehicle Load Control to the Adaptive Ride Height (ARH), the Pan Am Special has nothing to hide.
Brandnew Engine
With Revolution Max 1250 Harley-Davidson is opening the next chapter in a century of legendary V-twins.
This is a liquid-cooled engine with around 152 hp, plenty of torque and an extremely wide usable rev range that makes life easy for the rider.
Outstanding Design
You love it or you hate it or you learn to love it. But one thing you can’t say about the Pan Am is that it doesn’t move minds.
In a world where motorcycles are becoming more and more alike, the Pan America offers a rock-solid alternative – in the unmistakable Harley-Davidson total package.
Made for riding
The Pan America builds on H-D’s touring heritage, enabling high-speed riding with optimal handling even at the limits of luggage and weight capacity.
This bike is powerful and intuitive to operate – a motorcycle that remains reliable no matter how hard it is challenged.
Lightweight
Wherever possible, weight was saved and lightweight material was used. The Revolution Max 1250 engine serves as a supporting chassis element, making a conventional frame superfluous.
This significantly reduces the overall weight of the machine and optimizes its handling. This is performance you can feel – with a low center of gravity and torsionally stiff chassis.
Five riding modi plus personal podus
Five pre-programmed riding modes are available at the touch of a button (Sport, Road, Rain, Off-Road and Off-Road Plus).
In addition, you can set up your own custom riding mode – with your own personal settings for power delivery, engine braking, cornering-optimized anti-lock braking system (C-ABS) and cornering-optimized traction control (C-TCS).
Alloy wheels and new developed tires
The tires mounted on cast alloy wheels (19″ front and 17″ rear) were developed with a particular focus on the on-road and off-road requirements of Adventure Touring.
For this, Michelin has taken into account all aspects to optimize performance – from the structure of the tires to their contour and tread design.
Fun on the road
The Pan Am is also suitable for the famous Alpinetour with your buddies. With its powerful engine, it screws you up the mountains and over the passes.
If the road should lead you over a gravel passage, you have a safe vehicle under your backside.
The semi-active suspension is electronically adjustable and there is even an optional Adaptive Ride Height, which automatically lowers the machine when stopping and raises it again when starting.
