Mystery

customized Thunderbike Dragster Frame

A personal bike in a class of its own

The Mystery was originally created as a personal bike. It is based in the style of our European Championship winner and vice champion Spectacula. With light optical and technical modifications, we have put the dragster in the right light again.

You can find Thunderbike Parts and original Harley-Davidson Parts  in our online shop.

Dragster Frame - Single Down Tube

Text by Hubertus Schneider - Motorrad Extrem

At Thunderbike, the winner of this year’s AMD European Championship in the Freestyle Class, breathtaking custom bikes were created even before the Open Mind project. The Mystery was already built in 2007. This in no way diminishes its impressive appearance.

The name Thunderbike is now known far beyond the borders of Hamminkeln. Even the custombuilders from abroad are pricking up their ears when it comes to news from Hamminkeln. In the Mystery Project, the Thunderbike Frame RS developed in-house forms the basic framework on which all further measures are based. For the whole project, from the idea to the last grip on the wrench, it only took a little more than six moon phases.

Andreas Bergerforth’s boys have put their all into making the Mystery, which they made themselves. The heart of the bike, the Screamin’ Eagle. 103, experienced a special Thunderbike cure. The team created a real eye-catcher with the noble white-orange freestyle bike.

The symbiosis of the multi-part rims made of noble black on the rim bed and the chrome shining contrast points on the rim and spokes give it a sporty, aggressive appearance. This appearance is reinforced by the not exactly narrow tyres from Metzeler. The wide 280 rear slipper nestles into the shape of the entire custom bike. Thus a visual and technical delicacy was created last year, the likes of which Andreas Bergerforth knows only too well. So it was only a matter of time before the Thunderbike team was rewarded with the European Champion title for their high-quality and innovative solutions.

This winter Andreas faces another challenge. At the Custombike 2008 in Bad Salzuflen, he will dig up the war hatchet and compete against Peter Penzenstadler in a very special screwdriver competition to find out who will put the sharper Custombike on its feet in a given time.

We can be curious with which piece of cream Andreas will impress us this time.
