Saturday at noon. Load up and get on the bikes!
Right on our doorstep are the beautiful little streets and the nice cafes of Holland. So what could be more natural than to go for a ride with the team after work on Saturday lunchtime? Whoever has the time and the fun, comes along. Bikes are enough there, who has no own here, gets a demonstrator. Without long preparation we get on the bikes, one after the other is started. A few kickers are already sweating while the others are still getting dressed. The captain rides ahead.
Just let yourself drift and enjoy the breeze…
So it goes along the Rhine on the right side, over the dam and through the small towns, past the fields with summer wheat and through the long avenues of the Lower Rhine.
The nice little tour is interrupted only by a delicious piece of Appeltaart and a Koffie or even two. In the beautiful village of Tolkamer in the Dutch province of Gelderland we take a break before heading back to Hamminkeln on the other side of the Rhine. This time a few of our new Thunderbikers are with us. And of course the Bergerforth family with Andreas, Beate and Kim, each on their own bikes. Everything goes like clockwork, no special incidents, only satisfied and happy faces.

Back at the Roadhouse, a few tables are quickly put together so that everyone can sit together at the table. With burgers and a beer, the weekend can begin.
