For this FXDR our 2019 Battle of the Kings Bike ROAR was the role model
Even though we followed the role model, there are some aspects that make this Softail-based conversion unique, and not just the bright red color scheme.
The upward pointing mufflers are from Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde and they are mounted on a manifold system from the Austrian forge BSL, which we modified a bit for this purpose and we added heat shields.
Also the seat, which fits perfectly into the bike, is made of black leather with red stitching. An ornamental seam may be a small detail – but here it perfectly conveys the line of the graphics on the tank to the rear, which Ingo Kruse has painted brilliantly – just like the fenders, the side panels, the headcap and the front spoiler.
The rest of this conversion follows our popular recipe for the FXDR “lower and wider” with air ride, handlebar and fork lowering and FXDR special parts that we designed especially for this model, like rear fenders, seat shell and spoiler.
The Screamin’ Eagle Stage 4 kit, which increases the engine capacity to a powerful 117 cui ensure that it not only looks fast, but also lives up to its Red Rocket name.
