Shovelhead
The Shovelhead Harley-Davidson engine got its name from the shovel shape of the upper rocker box covers and was built from 1966 to 1984. It replaced the Panhead and was later replaced by the Evolution Big Twin. Since ’78 the engines have been divided into “Early” and “Late”, where the cubic capacity increased from 1200 to 1340 ccm. This gallery contains all Thunderbike conversions with Shovelhead engines.
