The Dream of Anarchy

The hype of the cult series “Sons of Anarchy” was probably the decisive impulse for the revival of the FXR scene in the USA. A bike, which until then had been rather marginal in the Harley community, experienced a kind of renaissance through the television series. Reason enough for the company a few years ago with the still Dyna Low Rider S (FXDLS) an emerging movement to give a suitable bike to hand. And also the custom scene was brought by this new era in restlessness, a mix of maximum street performance and wild stunts gives the big whole completely new impetus. The customizers in the U.S. discovered then also very quickly the FXRT for themselves and put with cases and fairings once again impressive custom bikes.

At the latest at the Battle of the Kings in 2018, it was clear that this was not just a trend. Two interpretations of the FXRT based on the Milwaukee-Eight Softail were among the top 5, with the Californian customizer and Harley dealer Laidlaw taking the coveted title with his version.

At the latest at this point probably also the company was convinced that a modern sport tourer in the sense and style of a FXRT could mean a meaningful addition of the Softail series.

In the meantime, the former Dyna Low Rider S (FXDLS) had already become a Softail (FXLRS) as part of the 2018 model changeover, and so the company presented a Low Ride ST (FXLRST) in the spring of 2022, equipped with a fat 117cc engine as well as fairing and cases, completely in the style of the former FXRT.

As if that wasn’t enough, at the end of the season the H-D men followed up with the El Diablo, a highly limited edition icon model.

More than enough reason for us to subject the Low Rider ST also a thorough Thunderbike cure. The finest Digger wheels in 21″ at the front and 18″ at the rear in shiny black with a checkered rim flange, matching floating brake discs and Metzeler CruiseTec tires give the bike not only a strong appearance, but also the necessary performance on their way. A Jekill & Hyde Twenty-One exhaust system in black provides the sound that matches the sporty look.

Our footrest suspension and the Saddlemen Step Up seat provide the typical H-D relaxed seating position. The design of the new massive Clubstyle risers with integrated speedometer and cable grommet fits perfectly to the overall appearance of the new Low Rider and are available in 7″ and 9″ (original 5″).

For the paint job we could win “Master Chris” of “Chikos Pinstriping”, he has brought the whole project stylistically confident with his signature to the point.
