30th Anniversary Party - what a great show!
For the 30th anniversary of the motorcycle manufacturer Thunderbike, the world-famous musicians of “Manfred Mann’s Earthband” played in Hamminkeln.
The guys of “Manfred Mann’s Earth Band” are old hands in the music business. They started out in the 1970s and since then, with a short three year band break, they are on the stages of the world. So also at the Jokerfest at Thunderbike on Saturday evening. The famous motorcycle manufacturer from the Lower Rhine celebrated its anniversary the whole day long. And in the evening there was a giant party on the 30th anniversary of the motorcycle manufacturer – with a huge band.
They are gifted live musicians. Their fans, who grew up with their music, could not be more different. There are the bikers who look at Thunderbike before the latest and most spectacular Harley Davidson, but there are also the “normal” women and men, all friends of good rock music, who know what spectacle they at a concert of “Manfred Mann’s Earth Band” awaits.
It’s a wild mix. Especially at the beginning, the group around their leader and founder Manfred Mann plays newer things on the keyboard. The audience is rocking slowly, nodding their heads, the guests on top of the sun terrace can look at a sea of people in front of the stage. They stand on the wooden tables and benches, to see even better, do not want to miss anything.
This is a bit more difficult for those who need to stay down. Some of you, who stood farther back on the grounds, will hardly have caught a glimpse of the musicians. And yet, it’s about the music, it’s about the atmosphere Manfred Mann creates with that powerful and eclectic music.
Later, when he brings out the very old classics in the second half of the concert, it goes around. It is danced and celebrated. Omitted. The mood increases with each song. Whether “I came for you” or “Do not kill it Carol”, the audience is there, and the old rockers let the music work on the crowd with almost infinite instrumental solos. Show that even after so many years in the music business they have not forgotten anything. But on the contrary.
Guitarist Mick Rogers is the entertainer, tickling the audience with his fascinating solos, and singer Robert Hart even speaks some German. When the first notes of the classic “Davy’s on the road again” are played, the spell is even more broken.
The audience is getting in, can be carried. Consequently, one of the biggest hits should not be missed. Everyone can sing along and sing along “Blinded by the light”. You know how it’s done – the guys from the “Manfred Mann’s Earth Band”.
