The festival of superlatives
The 14th Jokerfest at Thunderbike has put all previous events in the shade. Premiere had the miss choice.
It was the largest, best and most successful Jokerfest ever celebrated at Thunderbike. “The number of visitors has never been this big”. The tickets were completely sold out. More than 3,000 visitors came, almost 300 could not decide on the terrain. There was not only the latest custom bikes to admire, but also a lot of music to hear.
Amongst others, the local heroes “Suicide Carps” were on stage, bringing the audience with their World Cup song “With all man” ever properly in football mood. Also in attendance were “Major Healey” with their colorful 70s show as well as the musicians of “Uriah Heep”, who of course also performed their big hit “Lady in Black”. The Jokerfest, celebrated for the 14th time now, has become a cross-border meeting place for music and motorcycle fans. Not only visitors from Hamminkeln and the surrounding area, but also from Belgium, the Netherlands, France and even Japan had been there, reports press spokesman Ben Ott.
With the 14th Jokerfest, Thunderbike has set the bar very high for itself. Next year, the company celebrates its 30th anniversary. “It will be a challenge to top this year’s Jokerfest again,” says the press spokesman. Of course, the plans are already in progress. But if you can stand on stage in Hamminkeln, Ben Ott will not tell you yet. Only so much: “The Harley scene is getting more colorful and younger. We also want to adapt to this development with our stage program.”
