The 6th Rumble & Thunder
It was wonderful again!
On Saturday the 7th of July 2018 the meanwhile 6th Rumble & Thunder Meeting took place. The Rumble & Thunder is an international Kustom meeting of a special kind: here are hot rods, custom cars and custom bikes at the same time as a guest.
In the Bikeshow-Area we presented numerous choppers from the middle of the last century. Also a US Car Show with Hod Rods, Custom Cars and American classics was represented. The weather was once again completely on our side. In bright sunshine, the gates were open from 10:00 to 16:00. If you wanted to have a delicious breakfast before the meeting, you could enjoy it at 9 o’clock in the Roadhouse.
Of course, as with any open house, the entire forge was open for you and once again provided insight into our house. From test drives to shopping in the boutique to live production, you could stroll through our halls as usual and discover something new.
Starting at 2 pm, the Roadhouse atmosphere provided the perfect summer atmosphere: with rocky country music by the Sour Mashs and Dj Gurk from the Netherlands! The boys are well known in the scene and have already heated up some events like the Choppertown Sideshow.
Unsere diesjährigen Aussteller
There was a lot to see and to discover at the stands of national and international Kustom Art artists, who presented their work on site.
If you want to hit B-movies on 60’s, the premiere of the chopper movie RIDE ON – the strange world of chop works was just right for you! From 11.00 we showed the film of the independent filmmaker Luca Mazza in the Roadhouse on the big screen. Star screwdriver Francesco Torredimare (Frankino Chop Works) is accompanied in this documentation. If you want to watch the complete movie again, you can get the DVD exclusively from August!
Stefan Knaup
Stefan Knaup war wieder live mit seinem Schneidewerkzeug vor Ort. Dort konnte man sich seine Matte, wie auch im letzten Jahr, wieder auf Vordermann bringen lassen.
Murder Murals Airbrush & Kustompainting
Mark Siekmann aka Murder Murals Airbrush & Kustompainting ist ein alter Hase in dem Geschäft und beherrscht diverse Techniken. Einige seiner neuesten Werke konntet ihr an seinem Stand betrachten.
Käthe Design
Käthe was also a second time with the Kulttour Rolle. At her stand she presented her handmade leather and polyester rolls in the form of a tool roll for the bike.
Chiko's Pinstriping
We were glad that our house and farm Pinstriper Chiko Chiko presented his fabulous art live on site and also mocked up bikes with unique Pinstripings on site.
Hang Loose Tattoo
Andi from Hang Loose tattooed back on location as last year. His merch stand stood out: The hand-printed shirts and the typographically great designed stickers from Andi are a real eye-catcher!
Ruhr Rod
Sandra and Markus from Ruhr Rod found their way from Bottrop here and offered the visitors numerous eye-catchers with their stand. There you could shop, what did it! Anyone who has not come to visit the two times or visit the website!
Alte Schule Manufaktur
The Alte Schule Manufaktur is an artist collective with Jan Meininghaus, Klaus Schade, Mattes Schreyer and Bene Voll. The crime scene is the attic of the old village school in Haldern. There, own designs and ideas are printed in a limited edition exclusively on Fairtrade and Eco-friendly products.
Carsten Estermann
Also this year you could get a look at the different works of Carsten Estermann. The handcrafted engravings of Cologne can already be admired on many motorcycles. In addition, the artist had art prints and small “to go” engravings in his luggage.
Royal Kustom Works
This year we again won Jakko Reniers from Royal Kustom Works for attending our event. Jacco presented as usual his elaborately lacquered pieces, but could also perform on-site small work such as rulings or pinstriping.
Son of a Gun
In addition to the many “tribal artists” who support our event every year, we also try to attract new people with new products for the show. We were all the happier with the promise of Rainer Eckart aka Son of a Gun. Rainer manufactures elaborate leather products.
Uzey Tattoo & Artstudios
Also our longtime friend Uzey of Uzey Tattoo & Artstudios was again represented with a colorful booth. The artist from Hamm has been in new premises since last weekend. Pay Uzey a visit to his shop!
Marcel Miller
Marcel Miller has been a loyal companion of our events for years. Therefore, it was already clear in the planning that the Dutchman with his old T1 bus must be back from the party.
Normans Tattoo & Art Gallery
Also, Norman Banach of Normans Tattoo & Art Gallery is almost one of our inventory at this event. He also tattooed the whole day live and exhibited his works on the stand.
All in all, the sixth Rumble & Thunder was once again a great success thanks to the numerous artists and great visitors. We look forward to the next year, do not forget to rumble!
